(Newton Japanese Input Method)

'nJIM' means 'Newton Japanese Input Method', are composed of ....

• String conversion engine service & API.
• Conversion table dictionaries for engine.
• Japanese input method interfaces using nJIM Engine API.

Installing nJIM package components to your Newton OS 2.0 or laster, you can use Japanese on your Newton. So packages provide Japanese Input Environment to your Newton, but package do not localize to Japanese. Please attention this, if you use nJIM packages. And also 'nJIM' do not provide 'Japanese -> English' translation, only string conversion services. If you want to use 'Japanese -> English' or 'English -> Japanese' translation, please use 'Jisho' and for its data packages.

Attention, 'nJIM' provide only Japanese environment, Not for Chinese, Korean.

All Newton models that are running Newton OS 2.0 or laster. Newton OS 1.x is not supported.

Middle size Kanji Dictionary for nJIM Engine. This package includes more word indexes than Small Dictionary. This package needs more free memory space and more cpu power.

• User Dictionary Tool (Option)

User dictionary for nJIM Engine. If you need your own Japanese word that is not included in Kanji Dic Small and Middle, please use this.

Optional dictionary for nJIM Engine. (Currently no dictionary)

Conversion TapBar modules for nJIM Engine. This package is test program for building nJIM. So this package provides only basic functions.

If you don't like TapBar, please use this keyboard type package for nJIM Engine. This package is also test program for building nJIM. So this package provides only basic functions.
