User dictionary for nJIM Engine. If you need your own Japanese word that is not included in Kanji Dic Small and Middle, please use this.

All Newton models that are running Newton OS 2.0 or laster. Newton OS 1.x is not supported.

• User Dictionary Tool (nJIM UserDic.pkg)

  This package is [Hiragana -> Kanji] string conversion table building tool for 'nJIM Engine' .

• User Dic Button (UserDicButton.pkg)

  TapBar module for 'User Dictionary Tool'.

• Install the following file.
  • nJIM UserDic.pkg
  • UserDicButton.pkg (Required TapBar)
• Please install nJIM Engine, Japanese font,TapBar for using this.
• If you are TapBar user, please install 'UserDicButton.pkg'.
• Setting Font to display Kanji before using.
• Input 'Hiragana' text input area, with Japanese Hiragana string, And input 'Idiom' text input area with Japanese Kanji,Hiragana,Katakana string.
• Attention, this program is not bug free, so you use this tool for new words registration only, not deleting, editing and etc.

• How to use
  • First, select 'New' column of 'Edit' menu. After that, white space is appear.
  • Second, you input Japanese words into both 'Hiragana' and 'Idiom'.
  • Third, select 'Add' column of 'Edit' menu.
  • UP/Down Arrow is display the registered Idioms.
  • Delete: If you want to delete one,select 'Delete' column of 'Edit' menu, displaying words that you want to delete.
  • Edit: displaying words to edit and input.
  • 'Get to...' menus copies into 'Hiragana'/'Idiom' text input area from selected text on 'Notes' with Caret.
• Setting
  • 'Menu Font' is font selected for displaying text input area.
  • 'Font Size' is font size.
  • If you check 'make data internal only', 'User Dic Tool' uses internal memory only.
  • Setting are not enabled until next execution.

You maybe use this tool, when you can not find words, using default dictionary. But don't input same 'Hiragana'/'Idiom' words (doubled registration). If you done this, 'nJIM Engine' will display same words twice. That will be occur other dictionary combination.
