This is startupscreen changer program. You can change your Newton StartupScreen as you want. NOS 2.0 Only. If you are Japanease Newton user, please update your system latest version.

If you remove applet prefs, please use PrefsCleaner. PrefsCleaner is product of Stand Alone, Inc. Freeware.

1. Install StartupScreen.pkg to your newton.

2. you need to get pict2pkg0.23.

3. Build yourpictname.pkg as '|yourpictname:p2p023|.

4. And install your startupscreen pict.pkg

5. If you want to view, Tap Happy Newton Icon.

6. Sleep and boot, you will see new StartupScreen.

7. Caution!!! Don't set passward!! if you set passward, you need reset your newton, and remove your passward or this program.

PICT2PKG is built by Nobuo Kawaguchi. (Freeware) This is a very nice program that you can transfer Macintosh PICT image to Newton. When I found this program, I desided to make this program for my Newton life.

This program is free. It may be distributed freely as long as the program is unmodified and is accompanied by this README file.
